Marron Creek Wines are produced from a single, 40-year-old certified organic vineyard at the southern tip of Western Australia's celebrated Frankland River region. Formerly known as the Old Kent River Vineyard, this pioneering site is now owned and managed by a local Frankland River farming family committed to preserving its remarkable legacy.

The property takes its name from the natural Marron ponds that run through the estate. Marron — a native freshwater crayfish found exclusively in Western Australia — thrive only in waters of exceptional purity, and their presence here speaks volumes about the health of this land. Prized worldwide as a true delicacy, the Marron are a fitting emblem for wines that share the same qualities: purity, rarity, and a deep sense of place.

The symbiosis between the Marron ponds and the surrounding vines is no accident. Sourced from the estate's organically farmed vineyard planted in 1988 — formerly the renowned Old Kent River Vineyard — this Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the southernmost site in the Frankland River GI, where the Karri forests mark the boundary of one of Western Australia's most distinctive cool-climate wine regions. A exceptional vintage for Frankland River Cabernet, with generous winter and spring rainfall followed by a mild finish to the season allowing for careful fruit selection and extended hang time, delivering grapes of excellent maturity and depth of flavour.

The wine is quintessentially Frankland River in character — fresh, refined, and quietly powerful. Aromas of blood plum, brambles, blackcurrant and red currants are lifted by florals, rose and mixed Italian herbs, creating a profile of effortless elegance. On the palate, the wine shows the region's hallmark freshness and delicacy, underpinned by a structure that speaks to both the quality of the vintage and the integrity of this long-established organic site.
